The Income Tax Department, Odisha Region, has officially invited applications for the Sports Quota Recruitment 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill 12 vacancies for the posts of Tax Assistant, Stenographer Grade-II, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). This is a specialized recruitment drive exclusively for meritorious sportspersons who have represented the country, state, or university at recognized national or international levels. The selection will be based on a comprehensive merit list derived from sports achievements and post-specific skill tests.

For the Tax Assistant post, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and possess data entry skills. Stenographer Grade-II applicants require a 12th-class pass certificate along with proficiency in stenography. The MTS posts are open to 10th-pass (Matriculation) candidates. All selected candidates will be placed in the Odisha region and will be entitled to pay scales ranging from Level-1 to Level-4 as per the 7th CPC recommendations. Note that only sports achievements earned up to 31-03-2026 will be considered for evaluation.
