NHAI Recruitment 2026 Notification Overview

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has officially released its recruitment notification for the year 2026, seeking qualified Civil Engineering graduates for the position of Deputy Manager (Technical). This recruitment drive aims to fill 60 vacancies across India on a direct recruitment basis. Selection for these prestigious positions under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways will be conducted solely based on the GATE 2026 score in the Civil Engineering discipline.

Eligibility and Compensation

Aspiring candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute. Those appearing for their final exams are also eligible to apply, provided they submit their degree certificate by August 31, 2026. Selected candidates will be placed in the Level 10 Pay Matrix of the 7th CPC, with a salary range between Rs. 56,100 and Rs. 1,77,500, supplemented by Central Dearness Allowance (CDA) and other benefits. It is important to note that a service bond of Rs. 5.00 Lakhs is mandatory for a minimum period of three years.

Application Process and Important Dates

The online application portal on the official NHAI website (nhai.gov.in) will be active from May 15, 2026, to June 15, 2026. Candidates are encouraged to apply early to avoid last-minute technical issues. There is no separate written exam; however, NHAI reserves the right to conduct interviews or interactions if the number of applicants is exceptionally high. Ensure all documents, including the GATE 2026 scorecard and category certificates, are ready for upload in the prescribed formats.
