The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the admit cards and detailed information brochure for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026. This national-level entrance examination is the gateway for students seeking admission into undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS across various recognized medical and dental colleges in India.

NEET UG 2026 Overview

Candidates who have successfully registered for the NEET UG 2026 examination can now download their hall tickets from the official portal. The examination is scheduled to be held on May 3, 2026 (Sunday). It is mandatory for all aspirants to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID and the prescribed passport/postcard size photographs to the examination center.

Eligibility and Exam Details

To qualify for the exam, candidates must have passed or be appearing in the 10+2 Intermediate exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects. The minimum age requirement is 17 years as of December 31, 2026. The exam will follow a pen-and-paper based format consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), out of which 180 must be answered within a duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes. Candidates are advised to strictly follow the dress code and instruction guidelines mentioned in the brochure, including the mandatory requirement of an Aadhar Card for verification purposes.
