UP Police 1 Lakh New Vacancy 2026: Official Announcement by CM Yogi

In a significant move to bolster the state's security apparatus and provide employment opportunities to the youth, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a massive recruitment drive for the UP Police Department. During an appointment letter distribution ceremony for the Police Telecommunication Department, the Chief Minister confirmed that the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is set to recruit approximately 1,00,000 (one lakh) new personnel within this year.

This mega recruitment initiative follows the recent completion of the 60,244 Constable recruitment and the 41,000 Home Guard examinations. The CM emphasized that over the last nine years, the state has successfully inducted more than 2.2 lakh police personnel with complete transparency. The upcoming 1 lakh vacancies will encompass various cadres including Civil Police, specialized units, and Home Guards.

Candidates who have completed their 10th or 12th grade from recognized boards will be eligible for various posts. While the detailed official notification including specific dates and post-wise breakdowns is expected to be released shortly on the official UPPRPB website, students are advised to begin their preparations for the written examination and physical standards tests immediately.
