The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has officially released the admit cards for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. This state-level entrance examination is a mandatory qualification for candidates aspiring to become teachers in Primary (Classes 1-5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6-8) schools across Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who successfully submitted their applications by the extended deadline of May 03, 2026, can now access their hall tickets through the official portal.

UPTET 2026 Exam Schedule

As per the latest notification (Advt No. 01/UPTET/2026), the examination is scheduled to be conducted on 02, 03, and 04 July 2026. The admit card is a crucial document that contains vital information including the candidate's name, roll number, exam center address, and specific shift timings. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination hall.

Eligibility and Selection Process

The UPTET 2026 consists of two papers. Paper I is designed for candidates aiming for Primary teacher roles, requiring a Bachelor’s degree and teacher training qualifications like BTC or B.El.Ed. Paper II is for Upper Primary roles, requiring a degree with at least 50% marks and B.Ed/BTC qualifications. The selection is based entirely on a Written Examination, which tests pedagogical knowledge, language proficiency, and subject-specific expertise. Candidates are advised to verify all details on their admit card immediately after downloading and contact the commission in case of any discrepancies.
