The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on behalf of Delhi Police has announced the highly anticipated examination for the Head Constable (Ministerial) Recruitment 2025, providing a significant opportunity for aspirants seeking a career in law enforcement. A total of 509 posts are available, inviting eligible candidates to join the Delhi Police force.

Candidates who successfully submitted their applications are now preparing for the Written Examination, scheduled to be held from January 07 to 12, 2026. The official admit cards and exam city intimation slips are slated for release in January 2026 on the official website, delhipolice.gov.in. Applicants will need their Application Number and Date of Birth to download their hall tickets.

The recruitment drive commenced with the notification released on September 29, 2025, with the application window closing on October 20, 2025. A correction window was also provided from November 05 to 07, 2025. This recruitment is a comprehensive process designed to select the most suitable candidates through multiple stages.

Eligibility Criteria for the Head Constable (Ministerial) position requires candidates to have passed the 10+2 (Senior Secondary) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board in India. Additionally, a crucial skill is typing proficiency, with a minimum speed of 30 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer.

The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 25 years as of July 01, 2025, with age relaxations applicable as per government norms. Application fees are structured to be inclusive, with ₹100/- for General, OBC, and EWS categories, while SC, ST, and PWD candidates are exempted from fees.

The selection process is rigorous, comprising a Computer-Based Examination, Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT), a Typing Test on Computer, and a Computer (Formatting) Test.
