The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has announced a significant recruitment drive for the year 2026. This recruitment aims to fill 128 vacancies for the post of Senior Resident under the Residency Scheme at ESI-PGIMSR, ESIC Medical College & Hospital and ODC (EZ), located in Joka, Kolkata. These positions are offered on a contractual basis for a total tenure of three years, subject to annual performance reviews.

The recruitment is categorized into Clinical, Non-Clinical, and Super Specialty departments. Out of the 128 posts, 111 are dedicated to Clinical and Super Specialty roles, while 17 are for Non-Clinical departments like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry. Candidates possessing an MD, MS, DNB, or MDS in the relevant specialty are eligible to attend the walk-in interview.

Application and Selection Process

Interested medical professionals must appear for a Walk-in-Interview at the Academic Block of the ESIC Medical College in Joka. Candidates are required to bring a completed application form, original documents for verification, and a set of self-attested photocopies. A demand draft of Rs. 500 is applicable for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, PWD, and Women candidates are exempted from the fee. The selection is primarily based on interview performance, though a screening test may be conducted if the applicant-to-post ratio exceeds 1:10.
