The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Admit Cards for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1. This national-level entrance exam is the gateway for students seeking admission into undergraduate engineering and architecture programs like BE, B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning at premier institutions across India, including NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs. Candidates who registered for the January session can now access their exam city intimation slips and hall tickets from the official portal.

According to the official schedule, the JEE Main Session 1 examination is slated to take place between January 21 and January 30, 2026. The NTA released the city intimation slip on January 8th to help candidates plan their travel, followed by the formal admit card release on January 17th, 2026. It is mandatory for every aspirant to carry a printed copy of the hall ticket along with a valid government-issued photo ID to the examination center. No candidate will be permitted to enter the exam hall without these documents.

The selection process is strictly based on the entrance examination performance, followed by centralized counseling. Applicants are advised to carefully review the exam pattern, which includes Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Value Questions. There is a negative marking of one mark for every incorrect answer. To download the admit card, students need to use their Application Number and Date of Birth on the jeemain.nta.nic.in website.
