SSC Stenographer Grade C & D 2025 Final Result Overview

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the FRTA Result and Cutoff for the Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1590 vacancies across various Union Ministries and Departments. Following the successful completion of the Skill Test held on January 28-29, 2026, the commission has now released the Option-cum-Preference form notice, which is a mandatory step for all qualified candidates to indicate their choice of departments.

Candidates who appeared for the skill test can now access their results and the category-wise cutoff marks through the official portal. It is important to note that the final allocation of posts will be based on the candidate's performance in the Computer Based Examination (CBT), their performance in the Skill Test (qualifying in nature), and the preferences submitted via the Option Cum Preference Form between May 05 and May 08, 2026.

Eligibility and Selection Process

The selection process for SSC Stenographer involves three main stages: a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by a mandatory Skill Test (Stenography), and the final submission of department preferences. To be eligible, candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination. For Grade C, candidates need a shorthand speed of 100 wpm, while for Grade D, the requirement is 80 wpm. The transcription time varies based on the post and language (English/Hindi) chosen by the applicant.
