Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES 56) January 2027 Batch

The Join Indian Army has released the official notification for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES 56) for the course commencing in January 2027. This recruitment provides an excellent platform for young individuals who have completed their schooling to join the Indian Army as commissioned officers. A total of 90 vacancies have been announced for this entry. Candidates who have appeared for JEE Mains 2026 and meet the educational criteria are eligible to apply.

Eligibility and Educational Qualification: To apply for the Army TES 56 Entry, candidates must have passed their 10+2 Intermediate examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). It is now mandatory for candidates to have appeared in the JEE Mains 2026 examination to be shortlisted for the SSB interview. This change ensures a merit-based selection from the pool of technical aspirants across the country.

Selection Process and Training: The selection process involves shortlisting based on the JEE Mains rank, followed by a comprehensive 5-day SSB Interview (Stage I and Stage II). Selected candidates will undergo a total of five years of training (one year basic military training and four years of technical training) before being commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army. The application process is completely free of cost for all categories.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates can apply online through the official Join Indian Army website between 13th May 2026 and 12th June 2026. Ensure all documents, including your class 10th and 12th certificates and JEE Mains scorecard, are ready for the application process. Candidates should carefully review the eligibility criteria regarding the age limit, which is between 16.5 and 19.5 years as of 1st January 2027.
