NEET PG 2026 Notification and Admission Overview

The National Board Of Examinations In Medical Sciences (NBE) has officially released the notification for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET PG) 2026. This national-level entrance examination is the mandatory gateway for medical graduates seeking admission into various MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), and PG Diploma courses in medical institutions across India for the academic session 2026-27.

The application window for NEET PG 2026 is scheduled to open on July 1, 2026, and interested candidates can submit their forms until July 21, 2026. The examination itself will be conducted on August 30, 2026, in a computer-based format. This competitive exam assesses the knowledge of candidates across pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical subjects taught during the MBBS curriculum.

Eligibility and Application Details

To be eligible for NEET PG 2026, candidates must hold a valid MBBS degree or a provisional pass certificate from a college or university recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Additionally, applicants must have completed their mandatory one-year rotatory internship on or before the specified cutoff date. The application fee is set at ₹3500 for General, OBC, and EWS categories, and ₹2500 for SC, ST, and PWD candidates. All payments must be made through online modes including Credit/Debit cards or Internet Banking.

Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly as the selection is based strictly on the merit rank obtained in the entrance test.
