The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has officially released the admit cards for the Skill Test (Typing Test) for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector SI (Confidential) and Assistant Sub-Inspector ASI (Clerk/Accountant). This recruitment drive, initiated under the 2024 notification, aims to fill a total of 921 vacancies across various departments of the Uttar Pradesh Police. Candidates who have successfully cleared the initial written examination and the Physical Efficiency/Standard tests (PET/PST) are now eligible to appear for this crucial skill assessment stage.

Exam Schedule and Details

The UP Police SI ASI Typing Test is scheduled to be conducted on 21st and 22nd February 2026. The admit cards were made available on the official portal on February 15, 2026. Candidates must download their hall tickets using their application number and date of birth. The typing test is a qualifying stage but mandatory for final selection. For the SI (Confidential) post, candidates are required to demonstrate proficiency in both Hindi and English typing, along with Stenography skills. For ASI Clerk and Accounts, specific typing speeds in Hindi and English are mandated as per the official criteria.

Mandatory Requirements for Candidates

Applicants must carry a hard copy of their admit card along with a valid photo identity proof (such as Aadhar Card, PAN Card, or Voter ID) to the examination center. It is recommended to verify the exam city intimation slip beforehand to plan travel to the designated centers within Uttar Pradesh. The selection process will conclude with a medical examination and a final merit list based on performance in the written test and qualifying skills.
